O’Brien said that she had to make a distance between Steve and King. Dorothy Moore, King’s cousin, came on satnd and testified that King was at her house at the hour of the crime to give her a lamp. They had no proof that King gave a lamp because Moore said that it was broken. Geore Nipping said that King was left-handed (the woound was on the left side of the body, so the shooter would be right-handed). O’Brien sai that Steve would go on stand to make a distance between him and King. That is what he did. He said that he wasn’t in the drugstore but was filming for a school project. George Sawicki prooved that statement. Briggs defense basically said that they souldn’t believe Bobo, Cruz and Henry because theirr minds were somewhere else. O’Brien basically tried to remind the jury that Steve doesn’t know the criminals well, that he wasn’t the lookout and that he went on stand without being nervous, which meant that he had nothing to hide. Petrocelli sumarized the testimony of all the witnesses, that they shouldn’t put any of them not guilty because Steve was at the drugstore and Bobo, Cruz and henry’s testimonies are true. She said that Steve wants the jury to think that he is a student and Briggs wants to distance King from the murder. The judge gave the jury a trail while Steve was scared to death and King didn’t care. Steve than received a verdict of not guilty and King, a verdict of guilty. O’Brien’s reaction was unpredictable to Steve. Five months after the trial, King was sentenced to 25 years to life. Steve is still making movies for him to understand who he is and his dad doesn’t know who he is. Steve is still wondering what O’Brien saw after she won the case.
