OUR VACATIONS ON RIO DE JANEIRO

Our journey to Rio de Janeiro began with excitement and high expectations. After weeks of planning, we finally boarded our flight to Brazil. When we landed at Galeão International Airport, we immediately felt the warm tropical air and the vibrant atmosphere of the city. After a smooth process through immigration and collecting our luggage, we faced a minor setback—our driver was delayed due to heavy traffic. Despite that, we soon hopped into a taxi that would take us straight to the heart of the city.

Day 1: Exploring Copacabana, We arrive in Rio de Janeiro early in the morning. After checking into a cozy hotel near Copacabana Beach, we headed straight for the sandy shores. The weather was perfect, so we relaxed in the sun and enjoyed fresh coconut water. In the afternoon, we take a cable car to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain. The views of Rio were stunning, but there was a sudden downpour that delayed our descent. Fortunately, the weather cleared up and we ended the day with a traditional Brazilian dinner at a local restaurant.

As a second activity we visited the well-known statue of Christ the Redeemer. Despite not being believers, we took many photos and were surprised by its height of more than 700 meters. To get there we took a train ride that lasted 20 minutes from the center of Rio.

As a last activity we went on a sunset sailing trip along the coast of Urca and Fotafogo, appreciating the views of Rio de Janeiro for the last time. In conclusion, it was a very fun trip full of experiences and good times.

Mateo Mendieta

Joseph Pulla
