Light Painting

This light painting was achieved with a long exposure. This image could be improved so that the red light source does not light up the background behind me. This could have been avoided by standing further away from the wall. Moreover I could have made it so that I am entirely visible rather than just having my legs present in the photo. This could have been achieved by increasing the F number of the aperture. The purpose of taking this photo was to experiment with light and how two different light sources would act together. Furthermore I wanted to test out how much movement of the light could be captured in a substantially longer exposure than what an ordinary image would do. I decided to use this attempt rather than the one previous due to the fact that I was much more visible.

Settings:
Aperture (F-stop) - f/5
ISO - 200
Exposure Time (Shutter Speed) -10 Seconds

I decided to take this photo for two reasons. These were for experimental purposes and the fact that It would turn out to be photogenic. As the suns visibility was high, I felt it would be the perfect opportunity to test the aperture settings thus allowing me to figure out how far the opening needed to be closed to ensure that less light entered the camera.

Settings:
Aperture ~ (F-stop) - f/29
ISO - 1600
Exposure Time (Shutter Speed) - 1/1000 Seconds

For this photo I wanted to capture the detail of the tree in close detail whilst also showing where it is located in the background. I used shallow depth of field to show the detail of the tree clearly and to have the background somewhat out of focus. Not only was the focus altered to achieve this effect, but the positioning of the camera was also an important factor. By having the camera closer to the tree, it's detail remained much more unlike the settings.
Settings:
Aperture - (F-stop) - f/5.6
ISO - 1600
Exposure Time (Shutter Speed) - 1/4000 Seconds
