Hiroshi only being 22 at the time didn't have any management experience and was taken as a joke, a lot of the people who have worked at Nintendo for a long time went on strike. Hiroshi quickly put an end to this by firing anyone who was to question his authority. This was the start of what people considered an "imperialistic style" of ruling the company. Hiroshi was the sole judge of new products. At the time Nintendo was still a card company. The first Big hit that Hiroshi made was a card game intended to be played with the whole family and was licenced with Walt Disney. Hiroshi saw room to expand and started to branch off to diffrent buniesses such as creating a taxi service called "Daiya" or even instant rice meals

However one day, after seeing a facotry worker with an extendable claw, had him develop it into a full on product, and created a new branch for it called "Games and Setup" and was released to the market. This new claw was a hit, the first that they've had in a while. After this, Hiroshi focused on making toys such as "Love tester" or "Light guns" and many different electronic toys.

Hiroshi stared to see the break through that the electronic industries were having and wanted in. Hiroshi negotiated a licence with Magnavox to sell their gaming console "The Magnavox Odyssey". soon after Hiroshi hired people to help develop a new console, The " Color game TV 6" the first console made by Nintendo. This "Color game TV" serious would continue and improve. Hiroshi saw to expand and take advantage of the growing arcade market in America and set his son in law to handle the operation for America. While the games that were a hit in Japan didn't farewell in America, Nintendo started a new Game "Donkey Kong". this game was a huge hit in both America and Japan. Eventually Nintendo came to develop a new console called the "Famicom" or better known as the "Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)" Hiroshi was so confident in the NES that he promised to order one million units in 2 years, this goal was easily reached. Hiroshi had a belief that it was artist to make the best best not technicians. With no background in game development or engineering, Hiroshi always decided what games went on his consoles due to his intuitions to know what the people would want, now and in the future. The NES was such a big success that a year later they released the super NES. continuing to grow the company developing even more consoles such as the GameCube, and N64 until he stepped down as acting president in 2002

Hiroshi Yamauchi was asked by his grandfather, the president of Nintendo, to take over, and so Hiroshi did. Hiroshi had to learn as he went, he had no education or experience in management of a company, as he was studying law before he took over the company. When he took over the company he learned how to manage better over time, as he did with many of his other skills such as his intuition of knowing what people would want in the future. While he was president o the company there were a lot of expansion into different branches such as into taxi service and hotels to name a few, and while most of these expansion were a bust and almost led him to have the company become bankrupt he found success in developing toys and games, it is here where Hiroshi really started to expand and become the huge company that we now know today.
