         <title>A miracle dog that can diagnose cancer!  ZHENGKUN YING</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Can you imagine having a dog doctor? An 8-year-old female black Labrador from Chiba, Japan, began training for cancer detection in 2005. The training is simple and effective. The training was based on a reward, with a tennis ball awarded for each time a cancer sample was accurately identified from multiple breath samples. The breath samples were collected from hundreds of cancer patients and about 500 healthy volunteers.<br>In 2005, the training was divided into three steps. The first step was to put a breath sample from one oesophageal cancer patient and 4 control subjects into a paper cup covered with filter paper. Two days later, the dogs were asked to accurately bite the cup containing the odor of the oesophageal cancer patient from 5 samples. The dog will get a tennis ball if he succeeds. A few days later a respiratory sample of another cancer patient was trained<br>In the second step, the researchers randomly selected a patient with a breathing sample bag containing gas from esophageal or stomach cancer<br>Step three The dogs sniffed a sample of a cancer breath as a standard sample and then used the scent of the other cancer to identify the bag. The type of cancer was then increased and the control group continued to train<br>Now dogs have been able to identify many types of cancer and I think that's going to be very important for people to find and treat cancer </div>]]></description>

A specially trained black female Labrador retriever trained for 2 years and after that she began training as a cancer detection dog.  The training method was a reward-based. When the behave was correct she rewarded by simultaneous play with a tennis ball.  Training had 3 methods after all of that when the training was done dog was able to detect 12 different types of cancer.
