         <description><![CDATA[<div>I<strong>nquiries:</strong><br>My problem is determining whether a particular trait is homozygous or heterozygous when the word problem doesn't indicate it. When it's not stated, how can you tell if a trait is homozygous or heterozygous?<br>- I find it hard to comprehend how to analyze multiple alleles' outcomes.<br><br><strong>What have I learned from this module:</strong><br>-&nbsp; The genotype is the genetic material passed between generations. On the other hand, a phenotype is an organism's observable characteristics or traits.<br>- Sex-linkages are patterns of inheritance that are mainly and/or exclusively influenced by gene interactions between the sex chromosomes. While recombination is a process by which pieces of DNA are broken and recombined to produce new combinations of alleles.<br>- Gene interaction discusses how different interplay between genes leads to different genes expression.<br>- The replication of DNA begins with the unwinding of its parent molecule, followed by the formation of two daughter strands based on base-pairing rules. Protein synthesis is the process of producing protein molecules and includes amino acid synthesis, transcription, translation, and post-translational events. <br>- An organism's genetic makeup can be altered through genetic engineering using rDNA technology.<br>- The use of recombinant DNA technology has potential applications in the fields of health and nutrition. In medicine, it is used to make pharmaceutical products such as human insulin, which is used to treat diabetes. It is used in agriculture to impart beneficial characteristics to plants in order to increase their yield and nutritional content. <br><br><strong>Feedback:</strong><br>- This lesson helped to widen and deepen my understanding of genetics, which I appreciated. This course has provided me with thorough information. As someone who wants to pursue genetic engineering as a career, the lessons here were very useful.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
