My dad once got to drive a tank, but crashed it into a tree. My great grandfather was in the air force. He is dead now. When he was in the air force his plane crashed, so he got the purple heart award. He was a POW during The Battle of the Bulge in WW2, was released when the war ended and then became principal of our local high school and a leader in the community.
