Al recostarse sobre el pecho de la persona amada, lo primero que se percibe es su calidez, reconfortante y acogedora; a la par, se siente la textura tersa de la piel, incluyendo aquella de la mano sostenida y de los pies alcanzados, sensación hilada a la confianza que implica esta cercanía.

Lo siguiente que se nota, es el movimiento continuo y tranquilo que produce su respiración, vaivén rítmico que se ralentiza poco a poco con la pérdida de la vigilia.

El olfato se recrea con su perfume habitual, dulce y afrutado, no demasiado intenso que sature, ni tampoco tan tenue para diluirse en el ambiente, sino en la justa medida.

Se observa una alternancia entre luz y oscuridad, que tiende a aumentar el segundo estado conforme el sueño cierra los ojos.

El silencio de la noche permite escuchar las últimas palabras de nuestra conversación que se va apagando, así como los laditos continuos de su corazón, que evocan el simbolismo de la vida, su fragilidad y su fortuna.

Se pierde el sentido del paso del tiempo y el estado de la conciencia se torna cada vez menos alerta y más relajado, al igual que el cuerpo, hasta perderse en el sueño.
