The Digital Divide has also been bombarded by the Social side of technology, if a child or teenager lacks the technology that their peers have then that person can become an outcast in today’s society, the recent rise of social networking sites has become a massive part of life for today’s teenagers and children, if a teenager cannot access websites such as Facebook Or MySpace then that person is considered an outsider of today’s life, there are many reasons why a child in today’s life cannot access or use such technology to their advantage, this is often due to lack of money, education and disability, there are many other reasons why some children do not access such technology such as age, gender and many more, these are issues because a child aged at roughly 3 years old is most likely not going to use a pc as much as a teenager of around 15 for example, this gap in the Digital Divide is one that most likely is not going to narrow over any amount of time unless nursery school teachers are going to be teaching 2 year old’s html coding at nursery school which is highly unlikely. You can feel isolated.

Effects of Digital Divide on businesses go farther than companies simply having access to technologies.The gap that is present in different technological skill levels of employees using technological software is accounted for.This gap can be a main reason of any slowed productivity.If employees cannot effectively use the technology at their disposal in given situations, they can cause an even larger gap.

a lot of people that do not have a mobile phone or any technology , would feel left out and probably would get left out as well because loads of people use social media, texting to communicate.
