This graphic is geared toward teachers and older students, as it contains a lot of information in word form. This visual has graphics that model expected behavior and behaviors we do not want to see. The graphics are piled to the side and the teacher and students work together to move them into the correct colors, as discussion of behaviors occurs. I like that there is a visual picture, along with the words. In many primary classrooms students aren't able to read yet. If all of the rules are written out, students may have difficulty reading them or referring to them throughout the day. This example is from our ABC job. I like this way of presenting expectations because we have motions that go along with each expectation. We go over these expectations EVERY day before we begin job rotations. Students recite them, along with the motions. When students are off task during jobs, I can simply motion to them or quickly state an expectation and they know how to resolve their behavior. Students are able to memorize the expectations quickly when the motions are included. It is bright and eye-catching, as well as neat. There is a space for each student's work, and work can be switched in and out very easily by using the clothespins. I would still want a space for finished work to be displayed, but I think it is a great idea to have photos of students working hard in class.
