They offer a range of developmental programmess and services for children, youth, and their families, including tutoring, academic coaching, art and dance labs, and a youth drop-in center. Their mission is to uplift their beneficiaries, strengthen their self-belief, develop necessary skills, and become empowered to do good and help others. Join us on a staff learning journey to BCA Academy, the education and training arm of the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), to gain deeper insights into how the BE sector is transforming and the exciting possibilities it holds for our students.</p><p><br/></p><p>This session will highlight the BE sector’s impact on Singapore’s development, current industry trends, and the wide range of post-secondary education pathways available. Participants will learn about BCA Academy’s full-time diploma programmes, including the Integrated Work Study Diplomas (IWSD) launched in 2023, which equip students with digital, technical, and cross-disciplinary skills in key areas such as Digital and Sustainable Architecture, Construction Engineering (Digital), and Digital and Smart Facilities Management.</p><p><br/></p><p>The visit will also showcase sustainable design features, state-of-the-art training facilities, and how experiential learning is woven into the curriculum to prepare future-ready graduates.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Innovate 360, Singapore's premier food accelerator, has partnered with Altimate Nutrition to deliver an innovative learning experience focused on the future of food sustainability. This 2-hour experiential programme addresses pressing global challenges in food security through a combination of hands-on activities, guided facility tours, and interactive discussions.</p><p>The programme uniquely positions participants at the intersection of food technology, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. Through exploration of Innovate 360's food-tech startup ecosystem, participants gain real-world insights into how science and business collaborate to create sustainable food solutions. A highlight of the programme is the blind tasting session of edible insects, which challenges traditional perceptions of food sources.</p><p>By the end of the workshop, participants will achieve several key learning objectives. They will understand how food innovation addresses global sustainability challenges and evaluate the nutritional value of alternative protein sources, particularly edible insects.          <description><![CDATA[<p>i wasnt really expecting to get a chance to taste something which i normally will quickly walk away when i see them. </p><p><br/></p><p>this journey opened my eyes on how there are people out there trying to solve food wastage issues and at the same time looking at food sustainability. </p><p><br/></p><p>Presenter shared on how he isnt the academic student back when he was a sec sch student but yet he was driven to do well in life with the thought of money! Makes me then wonder how in our own school setting can we motivate this type of students. It can be a more sustainable protein source with a lower environmental impact than traditional livestock, requiring less land, water, and feed. Insects are also a good source of protein.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The learning journey to Tasek was eye-opening and deeply inspiring. It highlighted the power of a strengths-based, relationship-focused approach in supporting at-risk youth. Through safe spaces, mentorship, and passion-driven opportunities like football and leadership, Tasek empowers youths to grow, give back, and break cycles of disadvantage - reminding educators of our vital role beyond academics. Strengths-based and relationship-focused approach is something I would like to explore to help my at-risk students to find purpose and prioritise their objectives in USS.</p>]]></description>
