  • In small groups (2-4), students will pretend to be time travelers and create a public service announcement to education people of the Middle Ages on how to prevent the spread of disease.
    1. Collaborate to write a script.
    2. Gather props and memorize their lines.
    3. Record PSA with available technology.
    4. If necessary, students will use video editing software or apps (iMovie, WeVideo, etc.) to edit to a final product.
  • Groups play their public service announcement video for the class audience.

    • As students watch the public service announcement videos, they will pretend they are citizens of a small town in the Middle Ages. They have heard rumors of the Black Death epidemic, but it has not yet reached their town.  Students will write a one-page letter to a relative in another town, explaining what they learned, and why it is important.
