We have seen many instances of students greeting their teachers, and even the non-teaching staff such as the cleaners and canteen holders. The simplest acts of greeting, the slight head-bow, or just a simple smile and nod gives others a pleasant acknowledgement. It's a great act to see and it's simple to do.

On some occasions, we can see students speaking loudly in public transportation such as trains and buses. They would also play their music loudly over their headphones or earphones, and it disrupts the quiet ambience that sometimes need to wind down their day on their trip back home from a tiring day at work or school.

It is hard to answer that question because the generation we live in is mess by all the conflict we face this days. I do know a handful of respectful people who have wonderful respective values that really shine out in the crowd. I can understand why people are disrespectful due to the physical appearance, such as the body language we give out in first glace people face us. But, we never know the true qualities of a person until he or she shows it.

In my opinion Youth this days are Pretty disrespectful, like in the bus teenagers our age tend to focus on their phones,forgetting about the surrounding and when people are in need of a seat they completely ignore them.

There are both disrespectful and respectful youth in this generation. The good one Is those who sacrifice their seats to the elderly, helping the elderly and picking up litters around them. The bad one is those who don't care about the elderly and the environment. I would sacrifice my seat for the elderly and maybe will pick up litters around me. (I DID NOT COPY AND PASTE!!!)

Many youth this days is not respectful to someone who is older than them. As far as i can see many youth maybe is shy to give up their seats to the elders. But I think that they have to build confidence and just offer their seats. More importantly is their parents, they need to respect their parents as they help us in everything in our life.

I dont think any of the teenagers are both respectful and disrespectful towards the elders or our parents, due to getting too confident upon themselves and starts to climb over the adults head . They didn't really think of the consequences, once they did it they will starts to regret in the future.

We can't judge just by their looks, we usually see it by his/her actions toward the elders. We usually see youths being rebellious and hot-headed/negative attitude. Some parents might raise their child properly but its the child decision to become bad instead of being the child that their parents expected/wanted.

Well,Some youths this days are much responsible and respecful,but theres a hand full of youths who are disrespectful to the society which makes the rest of the youths to be known bad in the society...They should be more civilised and more caring to the elders and show decent respect to others..It isnt their fault,its the society which makes them "Bad".

I think a majority of them are vacuous,unthinking, and completely self absorbed.that really can't be helped,given the debased state of our schools. But there is a solid segment of them who really impress me. The young PPL who r getting involved in grassroot activism and gaining self thought knowledge continually amaze me .

Most elders demand that the young ones fall silent and obey as a sign of respect even when the commands they issue are unfair and illogical. The younger generations nowadays have more access to information and research that tend to disprove the beliefs of the older generation.
When younger people try to reason out, they are automatically labeled as disrespectful. This is nothing more than coercion and is very damaging to the development of critical thinking among the youth.
