Dear Kiera Cass, I have grown to fall in love with this series. The Selection books have become my favorite books to read and I am so sad that they weren't longer. I love the plot and how I never know what is going to happen next. It kept me engaged and made me question whether I like Aspen or Maxon more. It was so detailed and full of many surprises. I have never enjoyed a book so much. It had my jaw literally dropping at every turning point. I love this book series and I hope you continue to make more wonderful books.

I would rate this book a 5/5 stars! This book was my favorite in the series. It was captivating and romantic while also kept me on my feet. I felt like I was really there in the story and it had my emotions going all around, sad, shocked, frustrated, happy, and others.

Theme I Observed

The author believes that appearances can be deceiving but a theme I observed was like love comes with difficult choices. It was a great love story but came along with some difficult tasks and choices. Who was America going to choose? Can she handle becoming Queen? Would she stand up for her beliefs or for Maxon? And others. She had to choose between her own life, Maxon, or Aspen and that caused her great trouble. She had plenty of difficult choices and decisions to make.

I added this picture of a love letter because while America was gone for her dads funeral, Maxon wrote her letters. He gave them to her when she came back home and they talked about how Maxon misses her and forgets that shes gone and that he realizes he can't imagine his life without her in it. This is one of my most favorite parts of the story, to just read his letters.

I chose to add this bracelet because in the book, Maxon got all of The Elite earrings and a necklace. Maxon knew that America only wore her dads necklace and wasn't a fan of wearing any other necklace so he got her a bracelet. It showed how much he payed attention and cared for her.

I chose this because a very common event in this series was rebel attacks. The day of the coronation and Maxon announcing his Queen, there was a intense rebel attacks. Maxon had found out about America and Aspen so he was going to choose Kriss. After the attack and plenty of people dying, almost including Maxon, he realized that he couldn't stand the thought of not having America in his life and that he would risk himself for her. That's when he decided to not marry Kriss and to marry America even after he saw her and Aspen.
