After all the physical activities, the school welcomed us with a snack, and we did a fun activity with our soulmates to find out if we were really soulmates. After that, we received our certificates.

Next, we had lunch because we knew the afternoon was going to be a long one. We all met at the train station and traveled together to the house of one of the Polish students, Vanessa, where we celebrated the birthday of one of the members of the Portuguese group, our dear Ivo.

It was a super fun afternoon, full of dancing, music, and shared moments that we will always remember.

At 4 p.m. it was time to say goodbye, as we had to go to Krakow. This was a sad moment, but very beautiful because we were very grateful for the week and for everything.

After a long trip, we arrived at our hotel in Krakow and went out for dinner.

When we returned, we rested and ended our long and happy day.

After that, we went to the school gym, where we had the opportunity to learn two traditional Polish dances. It was a fun and interesting experience that allowed us to learn more about Polish culture. Once the dancing activities were finished, we took part in a volleyball tournament.

Then he dad some snacks, we made a little restrospective of the week evaluating the proposed and some activities too, ending up receiving our participations certificates

For lunch, we went to a restaurant to try traditional Polish food. It was a great opportunity to experience new flavours and learn more about the country's cuisine. After that we went to a shopping and then we all met in the train station, beacause we went to the house of one of the Polish students, Vanessa. There, we celebrated the birthday of one of the Portuguese students, Ivo, and spent the afternoon together, talking, socialising and having fun. It was a very enriching day, full of new experiences and cultural exchange.

It was a public holiday that day, so the city was full of national flags and people in the streets. We bought some souvenirs to take back to Portugal. Some of our Polish friends joined us to help us get to know this beautiful city better.

There were several food stalls and we stopped for lunch there, where we tried a dish similar to pizza. In the afternoon, we continued exploring the city and ended up having dinner there.

Later in the afternoon, we came across a street musician and asked him to play Danza Kuduro, and we ended up dancing!

It was our last full day in Poland and it was a very happy and lovely day, where we learnt a little bit more about this beautiful country!

This visit helped us better understand the importance of remembering the past and promoting respect, tolerance, and human rights.

Afterwards, we returned home for lunch with our host families and tried traditional Polish food. In my case, I tasted pierogi for the first time.

Later, we packed our bags and met our classmates at school for an emotional farewell. Although it was sad to say goodbye, we were happy knowing we would meet again in Portugal.

We then travelled by bus to Krakow, where we had dinner and rested at our hostel, ready to explore the city the next day.

After lunch we were get to know the place that received us, Cieszyn. We visited the market, the bridge that connect Czechia with Poland, a traditional polish tram, even the Polish Venice, the theater and we finished our walk on the top of a tower where we had a beautiful panoramic view.

The school activites finished and we went to Bielsko-biala. In that city we spend the time on the shopping center were we had a lot of fun and, to finish our day, we played laser tag against each other, Portugal vs Poland. Of course, as respectful people, we let the homeowners win. Otherwise, we would have ended up sleeping on the street.

A funny and memoral day like every single one in this two weeks.

Then we took a horse-drawn carriage ride through the Biała Wisełka Valley. We split into three carriages and went for the ride. Afterward, we went to “Koliba u Marioli” to eat regional snacks, dance, sing, and warm up. It was a very special moment.

After that, we took a short walk to the Rodła Waterfalls to explore the area.

We returned to the bus and went to the Eco-Workshops in the town of Wisła, where we spent three hours visiting the Environmental Education Center.

Finally, we returned to the school and went bowling, where we had a great time.

On this day, we visited the Main Market Square, where we bought some souvenirs and explored the area.

Then, we saw Wawel Castle, one of Krakow’s most important landmarks. After that, we went to Kazimierz, where we had lunch and tasted traditional regional dishes. In the afternoon, we visited the former Jewish Ghetto, where many Jews lived during World War II. We also saw the historic Eagle Pharmacy, which served as a lifeline for many Jews.

We planned to visit the Schindler Museum, but it was very crowded. Instead, we returned to the city centre to finish our souvenir shopping and ended the day by having dinner there.

Before leaving, we had a memorable dancing moment. A man was playing the guitar in the square and, surprisingly, he started playing “Danza Kuduro”, a song we often dance to in Portugal. Taking this opportunity, we shared our culture and dancing skills with the people of Krakow and other tourists. Soon, people from different regions and countries joined in, creating a joyful and multicultural atmosphere.
