After reading, I thought about bullying awareness month. I thought about this because the little dragonboy is being bullied by the big, strong knight in the short film, and bullying awareness month is all about trying to stop bullies. One difference is that in this film it's only physical bullying, while bullying awareness month talks about all different types of bullying (physical, emotional, verbal, cyber, mental, etc).

This reminds me of a play that happened in my school before! The play in this movie was a knight who was supposed to rescue a princess, with the dragon being the villain. The play in my school was similar, in that a princess was also rescued by a knight, with a dragon being a villain. One difference is that our play the costumes were smaller, and we had more armour for our knight! In our story our set pieces were bigger, and the dragon costume was the largest; it was more than a one person costume!

This story is similar to a book I read when I was back in Kindergarten. The book I read had a princess in a purple dress, but there was no dragon. However, she was captured! In Dragonboy, the princess has been captured (or locked into a tower) by the dragon! The girl in the KT story was captured by an armed man (looking kind of like a knight, but not one), which is surprisingly similar to what actually happened during this Dragonboy play (as the knight actor tried to kiss her at the end of the play, which caused a fight because she didn't want him to)!

This story (with Viper needing to protect her village) is similar to another video I saw with the main character needing to defend others from attackers. Viper was just a little snake, but when her father (who defended the village before her) wasn’t able to fight she stepped up in his place. In _____ story, the main character also needed to… ______________________. In the story of ________, the main character was human (not a cartoon creature) and needed to physically change (in this case, losing all her hair) before facing down the villains. In Viper’s story, this didn’t need to happen, and also all the fighting depicted is a lot more ‘stylized’ (which means safe for children.

When Black Panther and Killmonger (that look very alike, given the same suits) were fighting, it reminded me of when my brother and myself fight. My brother is younger than me, and unlike in the movie he's not a villain. We're also not superpowered. In the movie they fighting 'for real' (meaning that they were intending to hurt or stop each other, while we were just play fighting. Something similar is that we were both fighting over some sort of object; my brother and I wanted ice cream, while in the movie Killmonger and Black Panther were fighting over control over vibranium (a super metal used to power up Thanos).
