-They also prevent virus's from ever getting in with their extremely strong firewall.

-They don't offer VPN's and Password Mangers, but this is probably due to them being a free service, 
-They do still have payed options but the base option includes their highest antivirus/scam service's. 
-It may seem that Avast is the obvious choice
-It doesn't offer the prevention that Norton offers, Avast eliminates the issue and identifies the scam after they have infuriated the system, it also doesn't learn and predict the changes in scam's and viruses like Norton does.

I also think that getting a Avast or Norton subscription is also mandatory, I personally use Norton but will switch to Avast once I am on a budget in college.
