Hello there, students! Since you have to read a book this year, I guess I should give some example and do some reading myself. I've chosen "Choke", by Chuck Palahniuk (author of "Fight Club", among many others). It's been sitting on my shelf for quite some time and now I feel like reading something with that wry and grotesque sense of humor. I'm sure it will be a brilliant read!!

The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, written by Rachel Joyce.
I am going to follow our teacher's footsteps As I am not the fastest one doing it, I started reading ending October. With regards to the book, this is an enigmatic story about a man, who must keep walking from one side to the country to another one, so as to save someone else's life, A feedback say; Gorgeously poignant novel of ¨hope¨and ¨transformation¨.
I hope to get on time.

Hi everybody!

I've read the book ‘The kite runner’ because a friend of mine, who is a big reader, had recommended it to me. This novel chronicles the story of Amir, who grew up in Afghanistan and was forced to leave his country with his father to start a new life in America. However, destiny had other plans for him. I highly recommend this book to everyone. Sadly, I have already returned the book to the library, so I can’t upload a picture.

Who doesn't know this book? This is one of the most famous stories of world literature. Although it's written in old English... the young Hamlet will surprise us and make us think and value many things! This is a gripping and poignant chronicle, full of enigmatic and chilling tales. Page by page I'm discovering that, many times, nothing is what it seems! Believe it or not, a ghost could come to open our eyes and tell us many secrets! ;)

Two of them were way more difficult than I could accept. Lots of "new" words, irrellevant stories and out of my line.
The third one was "The Swallows of Kabul", a book where I found am interesting story about the close history.
The novel works on diferents levels. In the surface there is a chronicle played by a rather smal group of characters. They live in the darkest place we can imagine, This darknes suddenly appeared with the arriving of Taliban to the power in Afganistan.
People living there has to adapt to the new rules and this lugubrious setting freeze your blood. Live lose its value and differnts chilling situations get you into tears. Women' s life became a torture metaphorically and actually. They have to try betwen dead or zombi living.
Deeper in the book we can fing how humans react when taking absolut power. We can see how a group react when fear takes control, how easy is to manage and manipulate thousands of persons to do gloomy acts against other human beings

Hi there!

I am reading the book titled "A Window on the Universe" edited by Jennifer Basset and published by Oxford University Press. I am truly passionate about the Universe and everything that surrounds it. So initially this book piqued my interest. It is based on several short stories related to science fiction. However, I am realizing that it is a good book in terms of grammar and vocabulary rather than stories. They are not very believable and are too based on the typical aliens. In any case, I am still reading it.

Hello everybody!

I'm reading the book titled "And all for love" edited by Diane Mowat and Jennifer Bassett. I decided to read this book because I'm a huge fan of romantic narratives and the title caught my attention at the moment.
This book is based on different short stories and experiences about love, like failed marriage or romance between friends or unknown people.
Furthermore, in my point of view, the book has a high level of vocabulary and sometimes is hard to follow correctly the plot.
Anyway, I strongly recommend this kind of stories if you like romantic and a bit dramatic narratives.
