We think Will decides to follow the rules and get revenge because at the end he said to Shawn that he was going to do it and will get revenge.

He didn't want to say anything because Will is old enough and needs to make his own decisions. Shawn wants Will to listen to himself and think about what he says before he says it. Shawn taught him the rules so now Will needs to decide if he wants to follow them. He needs to make his own choices. His words might mean that Will might already be dead so he is asking if he is coming because he is dead too.

The message he wants the readers to take away is that sometimes what you're expected to do is not the right thing to do. Will is supposed to follow the rules, which means he would need to go down to the lobby and get revenge for Shawn. But, at the end of the book, he gets off at floor 1. That means he's not going to get revenge.

we think Will decides to not kill Riggs because the ghosts were going somewhere but the ghosts wouldn't be going to watch Will kill Riggs because this whole time in the elevator the ghosts were trying to talk Will out of killing Riggs.

I think that Will would go through and kill Riggs. I think this because when Shawn said "You coming" when walking out of the elevator it could have meant him asking if Will would follow through. I think that "You coming" meant a question like Shawn asking if he would follow the same path as them and kill and get killed.

We think that he does not kill Riggs and does not do his plan but he also needs to follow the rules but he has to make his own decisions.

We think the message Jason Reynolds wants us to learn about is revenge isn't always the right option. You have to decide your life and your decisions and you can't let others decide for you. You need to trust your instincts and do what you believe is right.

Shawn didn't say anything to Will because he wants Will to make his own decision and not be persuaded by him. Also at the end Shawn said "You coming" like have you made your decision yet on what your going to do.

We think Shawn didn't talk to Will because in the chapter when Will was talking about when they were younger Shawn would ignore Will when he was acting immature. In the elevator Shawn ignores Will so that means Shawn thinks Will is being immature on getting revenge. The reason Shawn finally talked to Will saying, "you coming?" was because Shawn just wanted Will to make his own decision because the rest of the ghosts have tried to influence Will by what they think Will should do but Shawn asked Will that because he wanted Will to have is own decision.
