This toy inspires me because of the many different ways the Marionette doll can move. It allows the target user to have more control of the toy, and I feel that they would play with it for longer than if it had less joints.

Crab Desk Pet

I like the idea of many joints, but still being a “desk pet”. This toy is very intricate with many moving parts for when the user wants to use it, but can also be posed and propped which is good inspiration for my toy.

Articulated Spider

I enjoyed the idea of a toy with a simple design, but many ways of moving. The spider can be posed in countless ways, but the parts are still basic, keeping focus on the movement which I would like for my toy as well.

Articulated Dragon

The aspect that inspired me in this toy was the variety of joints. To enable different types of movement, the creator used ball joints, hinges and snap joints for this dragon which I would want to use to gain more experience and knowledge with each joint.

Hexbugs

The movement of the hexbugs is really interesting, and I enjoyed how each part gets smaller to allow for more movement near the tail. I might want to make a toy with a similar idea of fluid movement for my project.

Batman Action Figure

The part of this toy that inspired me was the base. I expressed I wanted a standing toy, and this seems like a good idea to keep it standing while still being movable.

Fidget Spinner

I like the fact that the fidget spinner is very simple to use, and it can be used at any time. The way it is intended to be used is the same way I would want my toy to be used.

Articulated Fish

I enjoy the multi-colour aspect of this toy. I wanted more colours, but I did not want to print many different pieces, and I think something like this would be a good compromise.

Lego Remote Control Car

This toy inspired me because of its gears. They allow for a unique movement that is not seen that much in other toys, so I might try to use them or something similar in my toy.

Pink Panther Figurine

The aspect of this toy that inspires me is its ability to stand. I would want my toy to be able to stand as well, so that it can be posed and used as a decoration while the user is not actively playing with it to give it multifunctionality.
