  • A purpose—What are you trying to accomplish with your fundraiser? Why should people participate and help?! People need a clear, valid reason to support.
  • A set goal—What is the specific, measurable goal you want to achieve? (How much money do you want to collect? How many pieces of clothing? Etc.)
  • A target audience—Who is the primary audience you will advertise to? How many people are you hoping and planning for?
  • A timeline—If you plan to actually hold this fundraiser, when will it happen? If you are just writing a PLAN, what would be the timeline you'd use?
  • An appropriate venue—Where is the best place to hold the event or drive? Think about the setup, costs, and the audience?

5. BUILD your invention based on your design.
6. TEST & EVALUATE how your invention performs. Find something that sums the article up in a few words.

VI. Conclusion (optional—the closing quote may do the job)

What is a memorable way to end your story? The end quote is a good way to sum things up. That doesn’t always work. You can also end your story with a link to more information.
