I have worked with kids on various things, and there is no better feeling than when they get excited after understanding something they have been working so hard at. I want them to realize they are capable of so much, they just can't give up. To me, that is the most rewarding, because they feel so good about themselves. I am excited about everything from knowing which grade I get and being able to begin to really plan for the year to decorating a classroom and implementing my ideas to create a safe and inviting place that includes "Mrs. Lawson's Living room." I want a responsive classroom where children feel safe to share, are eager to get to school each day to discover what we are learning, and are engaged through cooperative strategies such as Kagan.
