- I'm noticing that the author started the novel with an interesting hook. It makes me want to read more. (page 5)

- I'm thinking that Nikki is going to be in a lot of trouble if she can't get the necklace out of the toilet. (page 13)

- I'm wondering why Nikki just doesn't stick her hand in the toilet water to get the necklace. I would think that if she really cared about her Gram she would just do it, even if she is grossed out. (page 16, 17)

- I'm feeling nervous that Nikki has to leave the necklace in the toilet. What if someone flushes it? Yikes! (page 20)

- I'm thinking that she is gonna lie and she is gonna get in trouble. (pg 5)

- I'm wondering if the necklace is gonna fall down in the toilet and Nikki is trying to get the necklace out of there.(pg 10)

- I'm noticing that i was right the necklace did fall in the toilet. (pg 12 & 13)

- I'm seeing that she lies to her grams about the necklace that she that she still had it. (pg 16 & 17)
