         <description><![CDATA[<div>The battle took place on June 17, 1776.<br>After learning about the British plan to take over the hills around Boston, American forces secretly moved their troops onto bunker hill, just outside Boston in Charlestown, Massachusetts to prepare for battle. When the British realized what was happening, William Howe, the commander, led 3 teams into battle. Americans fought the first 2, but, retreated from the 3rd due to a lack of ammunition.</div>]]></description>
