In my classroom we group ML students with other students who may perform on a higher level do use as a support system.

My Ml teacher may also work with a group of students and I may work with another group based on performance level or who needs more help.

I emphasize VOCAB in my ELA and SS classes weekly. students have weekly homework that covers illustrations, synonyms, antonyms, and use of common English words. I try and talk every day before, during, and after class with my ML students so I can gauge their understanding of the days lessons and expectations. A lot of our ML kids don’t ask for help due to embarrassment or other reasons, so I make the effort to speak with them one on one.
