One of the best inventions was antibiotics. Antibiotics were invented by Arthur Fleming in 1928. Before the invention of antibiotics many children and people died early from infections. Some people died from an illness such as strep throat that is now treatable through the use of antibiotics. The positive aspects are the many lives that are saved through the use of antibiotics. The negative is that there are strains of diseases that are resistant to antibiotics because of the overuse.

One of the best inventions were fire pits. Fire pits were invented around 200,000–400,000 years ago, but before then people were hurt by the fires. Before the invention of fire pits the fire couldn't be controlled and went anywhere.

But some people made stone bricks around in a circle and it kept the fire inside the pit. Since fire pits were Invented, the fires haven't caused any damage from inside the pit. And now it is usually used at cookouts.

One of the best inventions in the world is the airplane. The airplane was invented by the Wright Brothers on December 17th, 1903 in North Carolina. They can take you around the world in not a lot of time compared to a boat. With a boat you have to take a route around continents and islands to get to your destination. With airplanes you can fly over them. The one downside of planes is the cost. It's expensive to get a plane ticket in today's economy. But planes are a super efficient way to get around and is overall a great experience to try.

In my opinion, one of our best inventions was the telephone. It has definitely enhanced the way we communicate and how humans communicated before it was made. It was made in 1876, If it we were born before that then imagine how much of a pain it was to keep communicating through paper and pen and mailboxes. Someone could've stolen it just to find out it was just a message to your best buddy! Imagine if your bestie was in an entirely different continent, in order to see or communicate with them, you'd either have to fly on a plane or wait months to send or be sent an envelope from them! That is why I think the telephone was one of the best inventions. The only bad part about it is if the power went out, you might not able to talk with your best bro.
