There are some elements of Political Science that make legislative effectiveness feel very cut and dry. But I refuse to believe that the only way to impact the law making body is to write the laws themselves. In Indiana, we are exempt from the ability to file petitions in order to create a legislative change. It made it hard to get in trouble without the grocery store attendant knowing across town. The location was quaint, but it afforded me access to everything I needed. The nearest "city" was an hour and a half away growing up and was reduced to 45 minutes by an overpass that wasn't installed until long after I moved.

I now live in Bloomington, though this is a short distance from my former home. I initially left home to live in Terre Haute where I began my pursuit for my degree in Political Science.
