Magnus Chase and the Ship of the dead

40 minutes
96-120

In my book Magnus chase I did not notice anything but since I need a reading response, I will write about my what is happening. So currently Magnus and the crew got challenged by a giant to fight each other and duel. There is a twist to this which is dueling with clay giants and 2 people dueling each other. They created a clay golem and the group dueled the giant and its clay golem. In the end, both clay golems are dead and most of the group is injured. Magnus heals the group and in the end the giant is killed. The only problem is the giant is stabbed in the heart which explodes the area around all of them. TJ gets a bit of shrapnel in his forehead and it cannot be removed; this is extremely odd. I hope that this summary is an ample amount writing. Just in case I will write a little more. I think that the shrapnel is a cursed peice of stone from the giants heart. This peice of stone carries the giants last wish; to kill TJ. I predict that TJ will die because he has shrapnel in his head and he will bleed to death eventually.

This Picture represents Magnus Chase and the gods of Asgard very well. It shows like one giant fist of the gods coming down to smite those who are bad. The fist would be the power of the gods and earth would be the people who refuse to open their minds to accept that people can believe in different religions. It could also represent Magnus and the Fist of Odin crushing his enemies and winning the battles against evil (Loki). They will win the battle against evil (the red earth).

Narrcissia Reading responce

The character Narcissus contributes to the theme of "Don't judge a book by its cover" very well. Narcissus made Echo leave because he judged her own how she spoke and how looked. He shamed her for having a curse that binds her tongue. On top of this, he also shamed her for not being the perfect Nymph and not looking on the inside. Echo also Judged Narcissus (in a good way) by the way he looked. This relates to the theme by showing that these people judged everything they saw (whether for good or the bad) and gave nobody a chance. Both of them judged each other so harshly that neither of them even had a chance at love. Echo was so desperate for love that she would love anybody but because of this she would never find true love. She judged everyone to be a lover and therefore she could never have a friend. On the other hand, Narcissus was looking for the perfect person and failed to notice that he was denying the most beautiful of the pack. He judged everyone by how they looked and had to have the perfect looking person to want to marry them. As you can tell, this shows the theme.

One of my predictions yesterday was when Chuchundra said "Don't kill me!" I predicted that Rikki Tikki has and will gain a reputation for killing animals and he will be well known for killing things. This prediction was completly wrong but here is the reason I thought this. I assumed that there was some rumors going around the garden that Rikki was a horrble killing machine that will not stop to protect the family. I was guessing that Chuchundra heard this rumor and immediately thought that he was going to kill everyone. With his mindset this snowballed he started telling people that Rikki was a evil critter. This was of course wrong and Rikki was a happy mongoose that killed only the meanest of snakes.
