Ended in 1865. Robert Lee surrendered to Grant. Civil War was about slavery between north and south. South wanted slaves, North did not want slaves. Series  of battles happened. Lasted for 4 years. First battle is the battle of sumter. If either one's flag went down that means the other side won. 
Things you don't wanna know is the amount of killing. There was a lot of protesting against one another of North and South. You got drafted to fight. Mostly the children would gather supplies for the soldiers, some even worked in weapon plants and government offices. Children even found a way to fight in the war.
