It established large scale factories and coal mining was increasingly important. It predominantly changed agricultural society to a more industrialised society in 1861. A vast railroad project for the Russian domestic trade and military was constructed between 1891 to 1916. Russia was reformed to formation of radical political parties from low wages and working. From the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, the Russian government initiated programs to protect Russian industries with implementation of tariffs. The Russian banking system was reformed in order to keep up with the new industrial and economic system.

Their Russian military and government needed a copious supply of goods and money for their war effort. Most soldiers didn't own boots or guns it was that serious. From the I.R, thankfully textiles were used to make Russian military uniforms and they were able to at a low cost.

This was because they didn't have experience of weapons and didn't know how to use them properly caused by the lack of teaching. All the soldiers supported the idea of war, until it was close and they got a taste of the real war environment.

 Russia also saw itself as the protector of the Slavic People (Ethnic Group which contains Serbians) and had to act to protect them.

 France and Britain were also going against Germany so Russia joined for a chance to eliminate the threat. 

Gavril Princip a Serbian Terrorist assassinated  Archduke Franz Ferdinand who was the heir to the Austria-Hungary throne on the the 28th of June 1914. This caused Austria-Hungary to declare war on Serbia causing Russia to set up their forces to protect them. Germany then declares war on Russia August 1.
