One of many experiences I have with active learning was learning how to complete puzzles. While learning to complete puzzles I manipulated pieces/objects while observing the results of my manipulation. Another experience I have had with active learning was when I learned to use the base ten blocks. In both instances, I was visually and physically involved in that process of learning and this characteristic of learning was done well.

Constructive

The first constructive experience that came to mind was class discussions. When having class discussion, we would have a question or topic to discuss regarding something we were introduced to in the past. Doing this, us students were able to discuss and be responsible for our own learning. One other experience I have with constructive learning are field trips. On trips, I was able to combine my new experience with my prior knowledge. In both of these experiences, the activities were active and effective.

Two experiences I have with cooperative learning are playing jeopardy and being in study groups. When playing jeopardy the team came together and used each other's knowledge to perform the task of getting as many questions correct. In study groups we used each other's knowledge to solve questions.

Two experiences I have had with authentic learning were learning to write letters and learning some Spanish. I still write letters today and know how to write them with correct formatting. Working at Walmart, with the Spanish I still remember, I am sometimes able to help customers who speak Spanish find items they're looking for.

Intentional

One experience I have with intentional learning is when I was learning to do my own hair. Because I had a goal to do my own hair and make it look decent, I was more determined to get it done. I looked at multiple videos and even read some articles on different products to use. I wouldn't normally put that much effort in for a history assignment, a subject I lack determination for. Another experience is when I was preparing for the written portion of the driving test. Intentionally learning, I took a great amount of practice test repeatedly until I didn't miss anything. From that I learned more than I need because some test were for states other than Tennessee.
