It depends on the immigrants for population increases. 

In Japan, people have a high life expectancy. Their population tends to live longer, but the birth rates in Japan have declined due to the fact that most of Japan's population has passed the baby boomer stage and very little immigration. 

The population patterns exist in Nigeria Because they have a high Birth Rate, high migration rate, and also high death rate. In Nigeria, the people make way too many children this reason is that there probably continues to be high population growth in this generation.
