At the age of 3, Anna became more independent by being able to choose her own outfits for school, every day. She was able to do this on her own and dress herself. Her parents were able to give her the chance to be creative with each piece she had on. This helped Anna know that her decision making was all on her own and build confidence.

Anna was 5 years old, playing with her friends. Everyone had the chance to play a board game during their free time, but some friends were fighting and arguing about who gets to go first. Anna took a big step of courage and decided to take action. She spoke up and helped her friends decide who should go first and to take turns. This made Anna feel really good about her opportunity to take lead and help her friends.

At age 12, Anna was feeling doubt when her friends were telling her she couldn't play softball. This made Anna feel like she couldn't reach her full potential when practicing and at games. When Anna went home to talk to her parents, they reassured her that she was able to go anything and that she had no reason to feel doubt because of her friends negative words. Next game, Anna went out and gave 100% and showed that she was capable of playing the sport.

When Anna was 18, Anna went off to college and made new friends. Her friends were so different from her and some even had different interests than her. Anna was feeling left out and insecure during their hang outs. Later, Anna knew she had to talk to someone to help her find herself and to embrace who she is. This helped Anna realize that it is okay to be different from her friends and not everyone is going to look or like the same.
