Rocco - yes we have a bunch but no pcs or laptops so we are forced to use them. We use them for keyboarding via Bluetooth kbds various apps like EDUcreations doodle buddy etc. etc. and looking for fresh new ideas for students to create - got some ideas? We are K-8. thanks

Westerville City schools- we have iPads in several of our schools. We have done lots of projects- creating digital books, creating digital book trailers (from the ITSCO project, research projects and more.

Joyce - we have a cart of 30 to share among 9 second grade classrooms. Hard to get in depth with projects with limited accessibility

Have 30 in my 3rd gr classroom. Use for math practice IXL program and students wrote animal reports in story kit app and then read stories to first grade classes. Will try using QR codes this spring with a second gr class to do health projects

I am an elementary (1-3) music teacher. I have a full set of 30 iPads in my room. I have been using them with all three grades using apps such as ones that allow students to "play" musical instruments. I am in the process of learning to work Garage Band, and intend to bring it to my 3rd graders so they can create, record, and share their own music.

I also know that some 3rd grade teachers on my building are regularly using iMovie with their students.

I have 3 carts in the media center that circulate to classrooms. Some uses have been making movies in the language classes, music classes use garage band, even using them in for concerts (holiday bells).

Forensic classes use them gather evidence in "crime scenes". Set up by instructor
