Aim

To help develop a positive self-image, build self-confidence, and foster resilience through understanding and valuing your own worth and the worth of others.

Objectives

• Knowledge and Understanding: you will develop an understanding of self-esteem and its impact on personal and social well-being.

• Skills: You will be able to identify personal strengths

• Attitudes and Values: You will be able to demonstrate increased self-confidence, respect for yourselves and others, and a positive outlook on life.

By developing self-confidence and building self-esteem, you will be better equipped to interact with others respectfully, appreciate diverse perspectives, and contribute positively to your community.

All workers are entitled to be paid at least the National Minimum Wage (NMW) – it’s the law. The minimum rate you’re paid depends on how old you are and if you’re an apprentice. You cannot contribute financially to your apprenticeship.

Employee rights

You're covered by employment law, which includes protections such as: 

• a minimum of 20 days paid leave each year, plus bank holidays 

• a safe working environment 

• equal access to facilities 

• other standard employee rights

Training time

A minimum of 20% of your working hours should be dedicated to training or studying. You shouldn't have to work extra hours outside of your normal working schedule to complete this.

Course structure

You have the right to know the content of your apprenticeship and what’s required of you. These rights exist to make sure your apprenticeship is a positive and fair experience. You can ask your employer or training provider about your rights during your initial assessment, or at any time during your apprenticeship.

Use your device to find images and quotes that represent your confidence to create a digital collage and present it to the class. This activity combines creative expression with public speaking and mutual respect.

Once you have completed the assessment, you will also gain access to the Digital Capabilities Resource Bank. There you will find a range of resources that have been mapped to the different elements of the digital capability framework and other elements used in the question sets. Recommendations will also be made in your report.

Issue 1 clue to each group who need to secretly share the answer (text, drawing, note, email, photo etc) to obtain the next clue.

There is a prize for the first team to complete all clues.
