Laia V. 3A

After a month of confinement in my apartment, without talking to anybody, I was disturbed by a loud knock on the wall. It was my neighbour. When I heard the noise, I ran to the balcony. The concert was beginning. I was very nervous and happy at the same time. Before he started, he introduced himself and said that he was really happy to sing for us. I couldn’t imagine it. My neighbour was my favourite singer! If I hadn’t been confined, I would never have met him. When I saw him on the balcony next to me, I couldn’t believe it. And suddenly, he started to sing. At the end of the concert I was so excited and we started to talk. I told him that I had been his fan since I was 13. He told me that we could see each other in the balcony to talk for a while during the quarantine. That was amazing! Despite the confinement I was really happy to have this opportunity .

An unexpected guest.
Yesterday, I was doing my<del> english </del>English !!!!! homework and suddenly, someone <del>knocked the door </del>knocked on the door. I was surprised because I didn’t expect anyone. We were <del>on </del>in confinement since<del> march </del>March<del> </del>13 and nobody <del>come</del> came to visit us in those days, neither<del> I wasn’t</del> was I expecting any delivery. I opened the door and I saw a woman who I <del>didnt’n</del> didn't know, with a dog. She told me that she was<del> sister</del> the sister of one of my neighbours' , a couple that had moved to my neighbourhood recently. I didn’t know them, I only had seen that couple sometimes and I welcomed them when they arrived. She explained <del>me</del> to me that all of her family had been infected by coronavirus and my neighbours were in the hospital. I asked how they were, and she told me they were in the ICU, and their parents too. "Oh, I’m sorry! ", I said. And I told her if I could help in anything. She asked me if I could take care of the dog for a while. I said I <del>never</del> had never had a dog, and I didn,t know how to take care of him. She insisted, and told me that the dog, named Cloney (it was ironic because the dog was pretty ugly), was very quiet and docile. At that moment, one of my sons, came to de door and saw the dog. The woman released the dog and the dog went quickly to my son. My son <del>startet</del> started petting the dog and I looked at them for a moment, they seemed to like each other. When I turned, the woman was gone! And she left behind my door, a bag with dog food, and a note saying: thank you very much, don’t worry, I’ll be back soon. And it was the reason that suddenly we had a dog, after years of denying it to our children. What happened next is another story.

After a month of confinement in my apartment, without speaking to anyone, I was struck by a loud knock on the door of my house. It was a postal worker who brought me the Amazon Fire Stick TV. I had bought it online on Monday the 13th. It was really a pleasant surprise because I didn't expect it until a few days later.

However, this story started when my best friend, Peter, told me he had bought a device called Fire Stick TV. I asked him why he had bought it.

Glòria F.

After a month of confinement in my apartment, without talking to anybody, I was disturbed by a loud knock on the wall.

That Thursday, after a month of confinement in my apartment without talking to anybody, only with my daughter, I went to bed late<del> as</del> like almost every day. I fell asleep right away, however, I soon woke up. I felt that several pairs of eyes were watching me in the darkness.

The room was full of people! Slowly I began to recognize who <del>were </del>was there, despite <del>their faces</del> the fact that their faces were covered by surgical masks. Tey was sitting in the armchair with my two cats on her lap, Marta was looking at me and said, ‘Hello’ and Érika was writing something on her mobile. Héctor, Roger, and Ricard were whispering something that seemed funny. In the background, sitting on the floor and without keeping any safety distance, I saw the rest of <del>their </del>my classmates.

I heard someone said; “Don't worry. Although in this third level, or the third dimension, actually we are safe from the coronavirus, we have left our shoes at the entrance, showered, <del>wore</del> (have) worn clean pyjamas and washed our hands 375 times today.” “Oh, very good!”, I exclaimed

I wondered what had happened. But I was so stunned I couldn't articulate a word. Just when it seemed I could say something, we were disturbed by a loud knock on the door.

They all looked at me hoping I'd answer the call because that room was still my room. ‘I'm so sorry’ I told the person who was behind the door,’ in the room <del>doesn't fit anyone</del> no one else fits.’

‘Let me in, I'm the teacher,’ said Rita in a slightly altered voice. So she came in.

‘Oh, a couple of Mossos almost caught me’, Rita said <del>painting</del> panting . ‘Welcome, teacher. Would you like some disinfectant soap?’ I asked her. ‘Yes, thanks’. And at that moment I remembered when the people offered to drink something.<del> What a good time! </del>Those were the good old days!

After that, the teacher explained to me because of my confusion, that since the technology was failing in our meetings, the EOI had decided, only for the third dimension, that the classes would be held clandestinely in the middle of the night, at a student's home. That Thursday was my turn. It seemed to me everyone knew, but I didn’t remember anything! ‘Oh dear, your memory is<del> to get</del> getting bad’, Tey told me.

‘Well, let’s go to start. Have you read the two chapters of the book?’ Rita asked us. All students agreed that the chapters were very long and that if we hadn't been confined we would have read more’. But the teacher said with a voice like a distant echo ‘I know, but I think you're a little lazy’.

‘Lazy get up!’ I heard my daughter told me. ‘Come on, you have an English meeting at 10.’ I ran out to the shower.

At first I thought <del>“it’s just a dream”</del> ,<del> </del>"It's just a dream", but ten seconds later I heard the same knock louder than the first time. I took my mobile at 4.00am and stood up to turn on the lights. I went to the kitchen and opened the door looking for where the noise came from but everything seemed normal.

After that I decided to go back to my room to watch a film. When the film was almost finished, I heard that noise again. This time I was frightened so I took a broom to protect <del>me</del> myself against the intruder. I went to the living room and saw a little shadow behind the <del>tv</del> TV, so I calmly walked<del> into the</del> toward that direction holding the broom like a sword. When I got close I realised it was a tiny black kitten.

The day after that I called my mother to explain that story and she said that was a funny story. She also told me never to forget to close the back door but I think if I had closed the back door I wouldn't have found a new pet.

Mariana

It was<del> in</del> a cloudy day of April. Martha was still in bed because of her broken leg. She was lying there, in the sofa or in case she was exhausted <del>to be</del> from being in a soft surface, she just slept on the floor for a couple of hours. Then she asked me for help to return to bed. It was like a repeated circular ritual. She was in a terrible mood all day long, but I was aware of the situation she was going through and how humor changes being stuck somehow. Indeed, we were both stuck. The covid 19 lockdown was like the never-ending story, and as she had<del> asma </del>asthma problems too, we weren’t aloud to be in contact with anybody else.

In the afternoon, someone knocked at the door. Martha asked me who was knocking at the door in the middle of the confinement. It was a guy from Amazon delivering a box for her. She said she hadn’t bought anything online for weeks. The guy was in front of me, and we could both see her name written on the box. She had to sign down in case she wanted to keep it. Martha said she refused to sign anything she didn’t know what it was. I asked the guy if he had the chance to investigate who had bought the content of the box, but he couldn’t do that because it was confidential information. I asked Martha what to do and if I had to sign the reception for her. She had a bad day (as usual) so she said the guy might return to the office with the undelivered box. I apologized <del>with</del> to the man and he went away. I closed the door thinking: If I were Martha, I would have <del>received</del> accepted the box anyway as a gift of destiny. Wouldn’t you?
