Le mot "didactique" vient du grec ancien didaktikόs (« doué pour l’enseignement »), dérivé du verbe didáschein (« enseigner », « instruire »).

La didactique, c'est l' étude des questions posées par l'enseignement et l'acquisition des connaissances dans les différentes disciplines scolaires.

La didactique se différencie de la pédagogie par le rôle central des contenus disciplinaires et par sa dimension épistémologique (la nature des connaissances à enseigner).

S'il est adjectif, le mot "didactique" réfère à :
Ce qui est instructif, explicatif, pédagogique (ouvrage didactique, poème didactique);Ce qui appartient à un vocabulaire spécialisé (terme didactique).

La pédagogie (du grec παιδαγωγία, direction ou éducation des enfants) désigne l'art de l'éducation. Le terme rassemble les méthodes et pratiques d'enseignement requises pour transmettre des compétences, c'est-à-dire un savoir (connaissances), un savoir-faire (capacités) ou un savoir-être (attitudes).
La technopédagogie, c’est enseigner avec des outils de la génération actuelle et faire en sorte que la technologie soit au service de l’apprentisage.
