VM1G2 GROUP 4

My name is Ghaayathree a/p Sundararajan, A161154 from National University of Malaysia. Hereby, I’m submitting my reflection part as a part of my virtual microbe assignment. My group work is entitled Escherichia Coli. Escherichia coli are gram negative, rod shaped bacteria that are often used in laboratory studies and are usually harmless, residing in the human digestive tract as part of the normal flora. E. coli 0157:H7 is a pathogenic strain of E. coli that was first identified as a cause of disease in the United States in 1982, during an investigation into an outbreak of gastrointestinal illness. The organism is also called enterohemorrhagic E. coli (EHEC) because it causes abdominal pain with diarrhoea that may contain blood. It lives in the intestines of healthy cattle and can contaminate meat during slaughter. Throughout this research, my team was exposed with the apps Zoom, Padlet, Popplet, and Powtoon. We, students from different universities engaged ourselves by using these apps to help us comminute among each other in order to complete this research. A big thank you to my team members who have helped to finish this task successfully. And, a warm thank you to the lectures for giving a guiding principle about the task. The task has really helped me to know more things about Escherichia Coli, example its characteristics, infections in can cause, its physical appearance and so on.
