         <description><![CDATA[<div>Family- Children learn political attitudes by listening to conversations and observing their family members<br>Education- More highly educated people show more knowledge about politics and policy and are more likely to vote and participate in politics<br>Mass Media- Media is the leading source of political information for most people, although the extent is unclear, studies have shown that mass media may have the greatest influence on those who have not yet formed an opinion<br>Economic Status/Occupation- Economic status influences political views in that poor people are more likely to support government assistance programs whereas the wealthy are likely to support tax shelters and aids to businesses.</div>]]></description>
