I think that the Americans were very cautious with this animal since they have horns. They also might not have been able to get that close to these animals because they are so shy. I think that they studied them carefully and tried to get as close as they could without scaring them away.

This plant was found in Weippe Prairie, Idaho. On top of a stout stalk that grows a massive amount of basal leaves blooming with tiny flowers. I think that Lewis was not as cautious with this as he was with others because this plant looks less harmless.

The person that I would choose to take with me would have to be Private Pierre Cruzatte. He is skilled at sign language, Omaha language, a skilled boatman, and very good at frontier trading. Even though he has one eye that doesn’t hold him back. He could also help when going through the rivers. He could also entertain the other explorers with his expert fiddle-playing. He is also a small and wiry man so he could easily fit into small spaces.

Having Private Pierre Cruzatte would be an amazing person to add to the Corps of Discovery. He is a very good at many things that have to do with going outdoors. He grew up going outdoors and will be a very important person to add. He knows many languages like the French and Omaha language.

Blackfoot Indians

The Blackfeet Indians at first were really nice and showed them hospitality. As soon as Lewis and Clark told the Indians that they were allies with Nez Perce and Shoshone tribes, they decided to steal the guns and ammo from Europeans so that they didn’t get attacked from their enemies. At night a couple of Blackfeet went to get some of the guns, two of the Indians ended up getting shot and killed. After this incident, the Blackfeet went back to showing the Indians hospitality.

Two spots that I would like to stop is Beaverhead Rock and Spirit Mound. I would like to go to Beaverhead Rock because of the river that runs through it so that it would be easily water collected. This was also a good place to stop because the Shoshone because they could trade and help point us in the right direction. It is located in Montana and 45.3854° N, 112.4585° W. It has many birds and fish in the streams in case people grew hungry or thirsty. I would also like to to go to Spirit Mound. This could help because there was a lot of grass for the horses and there were a lot Bison and flocks of birds. Spirit mountain is located near Vermillion, South Dakota and 42.8743° N, 96.9588° W.
