         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>A condition that is inherited and it produces abnormally shaped red blood cells that lead to inhibiting the binding of oxygen. </li><li>An individual would have to inherit two genes of sickle hemoglobin to be diagnosed with sickle cell disease.</li><li>When one gene is inherited, it is considered to be the sickle cell trait.</li></ul>]]></description>
