         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 1517, a monk named Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses on the door of the Wittenberg Cathedral against the church. The 95 Theses were bullet points on how the church lied to them and was selling indulgences for money.          <title>Mongol Empire</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Mongol Empire lasted from 1206 - 1368 and is known for its brutal warfare tactics. During its peak it had conquered 11 million square miles of territory. But after the leader (Genghis Khan) died, the empire started its decline.          <title>The Ottoman Empire</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Ottoman Empire ruled from around 1290 -1908 with its first leader being Osman I. They reached their peak from 1483 - 1683 when they conquered Syria, Egypt, Mesopotamia (modern Iraq), and Hungary. Their decline began in 1683 when they failed to conquer Vienna. Problems with the army, government corruption, and the civil unrest were the main cause for it. in 1908 people revolted and joined the central powers in WWI and they they lost, the Ottomans territory shrunk dramatically.<br><br>Sources: Ottoman Empire slides</div>]]></description>

         <title>Inca Empire</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>During the Inca Empire in 1230-1525, the Incas lived in the Andes Mountains which are 22,000 feet from sea level. They had to find a new way to grow food and they used terrace farming.          <description><![CDATA[<div>In 1376, An Aztec leader named Acamapichtli wanted to build an advanced city that would be called Tenochtitlan. The problem was that they were building on a swamp that had no foundation. They came up with an idea to put long wood pilings in the swamp that would hold up anything that they built above it. The printing press was a way to create text in books or paper in a much more efficient and faster way.
