Two proxy wars that happened during the Cold War were the Vietnam and Korean War. The Vietnam War happened on November 1, 1955. It began when North Korea invaded South Korea.
The U.S. supported South Korea and the Soviet Union supported North Korea. The Second Indochina War. Known in Vietnam as Resistance War Against America.
