My score was fairly high, meaning that I perceive myself as a skilled communicator. I think this is a fair assessment as I enjoy meeting new people and making new connections. I am also unafraid of speaking to authority and getting my point across whenever needed. I think it is important to speak up, because, if we don't, then others will never be privy to how we actually feel. I don't think that miscommunication has any real benefits, as such I always try to get my point across.

Sometimes, I do get a little uncomfortable around people. Especially lately. I have been trying to make long-lasting friendships with new people, but it hasn't been easy. I know how to talk to people and we can usually talk for a long time, but it never goes anywhere from there and no friendship develops which is unfortunate. All of my friends moved to different states, so it has definitely put me in a place where I am trying to put myself out there to make new friendships. I hope that soon enough I will learn how to make those connections last for more than one conversation, but I do think that I communicate well enough to hold those talks :)

I do consider myself to be an empath. As such, I am really aware of how others feel and try not to push boundaries unless it has clearly been welcomed. I have been told that it is really easy to talk to me and to open up, which I appreciate. I have often been told that I should become a therapist.

Using gestures to speak comes really naturally to me. I use lots of facial expressions and hand movements. I am Latina and I move a lot with my hands while I speak. I also tend to get super loud with people. I know that can be slightly jarring for people, so I try to read my audience. However, I do know that my loudness does appear very often. I do not shy way from using descriptions or even making movements to demonstrate what I am saying, which I am unsure if that is a good or a bad thing. Overall, I do use my hands a lot when I speak. The article below has some great info on that, too.

I believe in "live, and let live," I think that we are all entitled to our own opinions. We should not force people to think or behave a certain way. As such, I don't really grill people on how they feel or what they think unless it is absolutely abhorrent - in which case, I will either argue with the person or completely shut them out. By abhorrent, I mean some outlandish stuff too - not like they don't like pickles, but like they agree with some racist thing, etc. Just be cool.
