Hello! How have you been lately? I have been to Taiwan a few times. Have you ever been to America? I want to share a story with you.

Once, I went to the snow with my family. I was snowboarding, and I got to a pretty flat part. Suddenly, I felt myself soaring through the air! My eyes were wide open and my heart was probably the fastest beating heart on the planet! I felt like I was in the air for an hour, but when I finally landed, my entire body hurt. Now, my eyes were shut tight, and I kept rolling and rolling down the mountain, and when I stopped, my head hurt because when I was rolling, I kept hitting my head.

When I got up, I immediately took off my snowboard. I was a little confused, and everything seemed blurry. I didn’t know what had happened, but my parents thought I had a concussion, so we called ski patrol to help me get down the mountain.

Once we got down, we immediately went home. Now I know that I actually got a concussion, so I didn’t do any physical activities for a week. What about you? Have you ever had an injury as bad as a concussion?

Once during vacation, my family went to Hawaii. My sister and I played on the beach, and we saw some seaweed in the water. I told my sister that it was the same as the seaweed snacks she loved to eat, and she actually picked some up and put it in her mouth! Of course, fresh seaweed is very different from the snack, but it was still hilarious.

Hello my name is Bowen. I am a seventh grader at Miller middle school in Cupertino Union School District. One of my hobbies is tennis, recently I got a new tennis racket. I am very protective of my new tennis racket because it is extremely expensive.(Roughly $200) My family has four people : My dad, my mom, my sister and me. My parents were both born in China, my sister is currently in college. My grandparents were all teachers at qing hua or bei da college. I like going to china for vacation.

I want to share a story with you, this story happened at a ice skating summer camp. That day I finally started figuring out how to properly skate. Me and my friend skated to the center of the ice rink. After skating for some time, I suddenly collided with somebody. We both fell to the ground. He immediately got up, and I didn't think much of it. He didn't even apologize and just left. I still sat there confused. My friend immediately realized something was wrong and moved me out of the rink. I didn't realize it yet but when the person I collided with got up he cut my leg. My leg was bleeding all over. In the end my leg has multiple large band-aids on it. When I got home I was unexpectedly quite happy, because I finally learned how to skate. A strange thing was that my pants didn't get cut. I want to know what are your favorite foods in China? I think the candied haws of China are quite good. But I think the ones with seeds are much worse. I also want to know where you want to go the most? I want to go to zhangjia national park in China.

Hi. My name is Bradley. I'm 12 and in 7th grade. I like to read, draw, code, play video games, and swim. My family is Indonesian, so I can also speak Indonesian and like to eat Indonesian foods. I have a mom, dad, and little sister.

I'd like to tell you a story that happened last weekend. I woke up at the crack of dawn, ate some bread, got changed, and hopped in my Dad's car. We were going to a swim meet. I felt a bit nervous since this summer I went to Indonesia to see my relatives, so I didn't go swimming for a while. Due to that I may swim slower, but at the same time I was in my growth spurt, so I may swim faster. I decided to read a book to forget about my worries. Once I got to Morgan Hills Aquatic Center, the location of the swim meet, I was met with rows and rows of tents, in a massive array of colors, set up by other families. There were people talking, reading, playing games, eating, etc. They were much more relaxed than I was. While my parents were setting up their tent, I was doing warm ups.

Later, I went back to the tent, and I found my events. They were: 50 meter breastroke, 100 meter freestyle, 100 meter backstroke. I continued reading my book until it was my event. Eventually my event came. I stepped onto the diving block. The announcer told everyone to start. Everyone dived in. Most kids started off fast, but I decided to start off slow and conserve my energy. By the last lap, I was powering my way to the end of the pool. My time improved and I was satisfied. I was also really hungry, and at home I ate 1 roll of kimbap.

I wonder what your life is like and what sports you do.

Let me tell you a story. When I was seven my dad told me to go play a sport so he brought me to a basketball gym. I was so scared because this was my first time playing basketball with no practice. I was sweating a lot which I did not do really much, but after I finished playing I thought it was fun. So I told my dad to sign me up for a team.

Hi! My name is officially Jingye Li but I go by Saoirse. I'm 13 yrs old this year and there are three people in my family: me, my dad, and my mom. I also have a cat, her name is Yuki but we all call her 妹妹. Her fur is milky-white, but parts of her ears, tail, back, and face is a dusky brown.

I want to share a story with you, because Mrs. Lin forced us to. This doesn't happen a lot, but I forgot my backpack in fourth grade. I was doing my homework in my room the night before, so I left it in my room. Even though I brought my PE clothes and bag for that, my dad had to bring my backpack to the office. My classmates laughed at me during the first period, PE. The funniest thing is, the person who sat next to me forgot his backpack a couple weeks later, so we laughed at him too.

My name is Kevin Zhao, I am twelve years old now. My hobbies are: playing hockey, reading and playing video games. I always read, I read at least one English book every day. Sometimes I would read in class, but many times I would be caught by the teacher! I have a long history of playing hockey. I started skating when I was seven years old and started playing hockey when I was 10 years old. I'm on the double A ice hockey team now, and I'm happy to be on this ice hockey team. I only play video games on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. There are five people in my family: my dad, mom, grandma, and my younger brother .

I want to share a story with you, it's that there is was one time when I was in tennis class, it was so hot. The temperature was 100+ degees. A while later, my throat felt very dry, but when I went to get my water bottle, I realized that there was less than one drop of water left. I was running a lot, and that made me have a headache and feel dizzy, I also very tired. Since it was so hot outside, I thought that my skin was peeling. I really like drawing cats.

Personally, I think my cats are absolutely adorable, but everyone around me thinks they're creepy. Am I really this bad at art?

This morning at math class, the teacher told us to pass our notebooks to the person behind us to grade our homework. So the boy sitting in front of me passed his homework to me. He left so much blank space on his notebook that I figured it would be wasted if I didn't do anything with it. So I drew a few cats. Even though I used pencil to draw it, he didn't erase them, so I think he doesn't hate them. But why does everyone else hate them then?

I would send a picture, but I'm afraid my classmates will laugh at me.

我想要跟你分享我的一個很有趣的一個五天外宿的經歷。我五年級時，我們有一個很大的校外教學。在這個校外教學我們會去露營，可是這不是一般的露營喔。在這個露營，我們會跟科學老師們學科學。我一聽到這個消息，我的手都不停地動，我高興極了！第一天，我們快快地跑到公車上，我都等不了了，我的身體都不停地動，公車一開始出發，我就睡著了。

我一起來時，我的旁邊的朋友都看著我看起來要爆炸一樣，他的笑容大大的。我有點尷尬了，我怎麼這麼快得睡著了呢？我害羞地走出公車，我已出來科學老師就過來跟我們分享他們的場地。他們給我們的美食都是，色，香，味，俱全。他們也會帶我們去遠足，每個遠足後，我的腳都會很痠。

有一次我去遠足，我們看到了一個香蕉蛞蝓，好噁心。如果一個蛇和一個香蕉有了一個孩子，肯定就是香蕉蛞蝓。又很油，又是一個可以走路地蛇，又沒有眼睛，我一想到就想吐！我在場地上遇見了很多新朋友。他們也有很多裝置，可以玩各種各樣的遊戲，像足球，乒乓球，籃球,等等。在這個校外教學我學了很多的科學，也很好玩！

Did you have an eventful weekend?

I want to share a very exciting  five-day field trip with you. When I was in the fifth grade,we had a very big field trip at school. Everyone was very excited and exhilarated for this field trip, but that was because this one was not a normal field trip. As soon as I heard the great news, I couldn’t stop moving with joy! On the first day we hurriedly packed out things and got on the school bus, I couldn’t wait to get there. As soon as the bus started moving, I fell asleep.

As soon as I woke up, I saw my friends looking at me while grinning from ear to ear. I was so embarrassed, I shyly walked out the bus. When I got off the bus the science teachers were already introducing themselves and the campus around them. The American food that they gave us, smelled, looked and tasted incredible. They also took us on hikes after breakfast, during the hikes we would usually play a game involving nature. After every hike, my legs were so sore!

One time I went hiking, we saw a banana slug. If a snake and a banana had a baby, that would be it. The banana slug is very oily, it’s a walking snake, and it has no eyes. It is very disgusting, as soon as I think about it I want to barf. They also had lots of equipment like ping pong balls, soccer balls, basketballs, etc. I also made lots of friends at science camp, it was very fun!
