I attended the Otolo Mentoring Zoom session with Ms.Tamara Markham's leadership breakout room. Mentoring taught me that there are more than just the typical perspectives of mentoring—for example, the traditional approach of being a mentor and a mentee. I discovered that the person you seek guidance from or look up to might potentially be a mentor to you without the formal designation of "mentor". A mentor, according to Ms.Tamara Markham, is simply someone who is "a good soundboard, resource, and well educated" in the area you wish to learn/improve on. She also stated that it is beneficial to "surround oneself with many mentors of varying abilities."

A leader is someone who directs, guides, and motivates others to work together to achieve a shared objective. A manager is someone who plans, organizes, and coordinates tasks, as well as being in charge of resources and procedures. The Situational Leadership Model highlights four leadership styles: coaching/autocratic, coaching/democratic, supporting/equal, and delegating/laissez-faire.Depending on the scenario, all four of these leadership styles alternate. Most of the time, I use a coaching/democratic leadership style to engage with my teams in order to achieve a consensus and hear all feedback and ideas before making a decision.

This was handled by bringing in a more authoritative individual to manage the clarification dialogue.

Conflict Can Be Both Positive and Negative
Disagreement management removes the bad parts of a conflict while highlighting the good features to aid in gaining a better knowledge of and performance in the workplace. For example, having rivalry in the job can be detrimental at first, but can be beneficial with more contemplation and discussion to find a solution to the issue. Finding a solution to a disagreement can boost performance and assist in determining how to improve better going forward based on the input obtained.

All five of the clips on the presentation slide share a common theme: what distinguishes an experience are real human connection transactions, such as those between a customer and an employee or an employee and an employee. I wish to work at a hotel that has a real caring attitude toward both visitors and workers. I'd also like to work in a hotel that will let me continue to make remarkable human relationships. Genuine emotions and discussions are key components of every hotel brand. The TED presentation about service isn't about hospitality; service is a talent, and hospitality is an attitude that speaks volumes in creating an optimistic and devoted client via real encounters. It has also become clear that, as technology advances, there is more of an operation to perform tasks, resulting in a loss of face-to-face human connection. To fight this and maintain the spirit of hospitality, participate in the value of engaging with people and providing a memorable experience for all clients and individuals you come across.
