The federalists stated their ideas for the central Government they believed they needed, but the anti-federalists had many ideas that are still present in our Government today. For example the 13th states that no person shall be deprived of their rights unless by the law. The 18th states that our President is the commander-in-chief of the Army, Navy and states militia in times of war. These along with many other of the anti-federalists beliefs exercise the idea of limited Government and many of these beliefs are still relevant today.

The Anti federalist main concern throughout the entirety on the paper was the freedoms of the people. They wanted to make sure that this country wasn't going to become what they fought so hard during the war to get away form. To them, having state government that is mainly run by the people was ideal for keeping freedoms but they also realized that too much freedom was a bad thing. Because of this, they wanted a central government but they didn't want it to be too strong that they can't fight against it.

The federalist realized that the reason that the articles didn't work was because of the weak central government. They thought that the easiest way to fix that was to create a new Constitution that gave more power to the central government. They also knew that the couldn't give it too much power or it could eventually overpower the people which would put them in the main situation as they were after the war. Madison and others used there knowledge on politics and government to make a form of government that they expressed through papers.

Overall, the outcome of the dispute was the constitution that we still use today. They used the ideas of the freedom that were used in the articles of confederation and they used ideas newly thought of to give the government power but not too much to overall, give us a government that will keep the people most happy and free. They gave the central government power to three branches that all deal with big issues. These branches; legislative, executive, and judicial; were all given different powers and responsibilities. They also gave them the power to put other branches in check so they don't get too strong. The state governments were given the power to deal with smaller specific issues in there state. They also made a bill of rights that is there to keep freedoms for the people of the country.
