In our English class, we did a role play activity to practice the Simple Past Tense. Each student chose a character, such as a doctor, a tourist, a student, or a chef. We worked in pairs and asked each other questions about what we did yesterday. For example, I played the role of a tourist who visited Paris. I said I visited the Eiffel Tower, took many photos, and ate delicious French food. My partner was a doctor who said she worked at the hospital and helped many patients. The activity was fun and helped us speak more confidently using the past tense.

"Then, they can see and hear the problem when they get to your house."

¿Por qué "hear" y no "listen"?

• "Hear" se refiere a percibir un sonido de forma pasiva, sin intención.

• "Listen" implica prestar atención de forma activa al sonido.

En este caso, probablemente estás hablando de un sonido o ruido (como un problema con una cañería, un electrodoméstico, etc.), que alguien percibe al llegar, sin necesariamente prestar atención.

Por eso, lo natural en inglés es decir "see and hear the problem".

On Monday, September 8th, there will be a meeting for everyone who is part of Bernasconi. The English area will have its own stand, and for that reason, all students from all levels will prepare a video. In this video, there will be audios, writings, or recordings where you will share your experiences at Bernasconi. You can do it in pairs or individually. I hope to receive beautiful works to show to the rest of the community. Thank you!
