The book The Reluctant Journal of Henry K Larsen, which is mostly about a family that has been broken after a tragedy try to continue with their lives as normally as possible. and the movie wonder, which is about a family that was shook after one of their children is born with a severe facial deformation try to raise their child without him being bullied. But they have to send him to school where he will be faced with other kids who will bully him and make fun of him. Have many differences and similarities, they are about many of the same topics, but within those topics there are many differences in the way the are portrayed. In this essay I will be comparing the similarities and differences between The reluctant journal of Henry K Larsen, and the movie wonder. Both stories have similar topics such as friendship, family, and school, they also have some differences in those topics.

In the book Henry’s life was changed cuz his brother killed himself and he had to suck it up and move away he had to leave his 1 friend and his home. On the other hand Augy went his neighbourhood school after being home schooled. Augys parents didn’t have one of their kids commit so they were a happy family. Henry’s family fell apart when his brother committed die. Henry’s mom was a mental wreck and didn’t move away with them. Henry learned not to be a baby because he talked to his counsellor. Augy learned not to be a baby because he got friends and grew out of his loner faze.

Henry is bullied all the time by this guy called Troy and his little rat pack.
Some of the Reach for the top teammates care a little for Henry.

August is bullied by a lot of kids at his school one known as Julian and he also has a little rat pack. 
Eventually he makes a friend named Jack will that begins to be his best friend. 
The teachers like Auggie as he is a smart kid. Summer a girl that meets him enjoys being his friend.
