This story allows for teacher student interaction. The reader can answer questions about colors of different foods, and items. The repetition helps increase the child's memory, and allows them to even read along with the teacher. Another lesson from this book, is that if something negative happens whether you can control it or not, your day still goes on.

This book introduces Fall to students. The illustration is grasping. This book helps describe the transition the leaves make throughout the year. It tells a story about the fun activities that children can do throughout fall. This may be used an introduction to a class field trip.

selected Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, because it is a entertaining book that introduces the ABCs to children. The rhyming allows for student engagement, while the teacher is reading the book aloud. The colorful pages, and large print make for an entertaining, fun, learning time!

This is a classic picture book, that explains a life lesson to children. The spider wants to finish spinning her web. The spider has a goal in mind, and will not stop completing her task, no matter how many animals try to distract her. It will teach students that with motivation and determination anything they set there mind to is achievable.

This book is a fun book to read, that will leave my students giggling all day. It talks about the poor decisions David makes throughout his day, regardless of environment. It teaches children that there will be consequences based off of their behaviors. This will teach children that there will always be rules to live by. This book could introduce self-awareness and mindfulness at a young age.

This book introduces the Winter season to students. It teaches them about appropriate articles of clothing for the new season. This book will allow my students to make choices about their article of clothing especially during the different seasons. This book can also lead to class discussion on how the students get ready in the morning for school.

This is a fun book, that I plan on introducing at the beginning of the school year. It will let the children decided if the dinosaur has made a good choice, or a poor choice. Which will lead to a class discussion regarding the rules and expectations that I have for the school year. This story will also let children reflect on the behaviors they posses at school.

I selected this book for my students because often times I feel children struggle with change. Having to go to school, and being separated from their parents is often challenging. The kissing hand shares reassurance for the raccoon throughout the day, and could possibly implement news ways for the children to get through the new changes in their lives.

This book sheds light on the differences between people. It will teach the students that although a peer/friend/family member may be different, they still strive to be accepted, loved, and treated the same as everybody else. By introducing this story early on, it will hopefully teach children to be accepting, of everyone.
